Friday, May 29: Dear Diary, hubby must have gotten tired if hearing me "belly ache" over my garden. He took the day off and installed a fence around the entire thing!! Sorry for the bad picture, it was a cloudy & rainy day - but I have a fence!!! :-D It may not be pretty, but by golly it's keeping the critters out!!!
Saturday, May 30: Dear Diary, today was the end of Nichole's spring 8vs8 soccer. She played 2 of 3 tournament games today and her team came in 3rd in their division.
Being on the go again this weekend with tournaments (Tyler was in a "wooden bat" tournament") we ended the evening by heading to my parents house then out ice cream. Before we left, mom showed me this little bird nest that is right next to the kitchen door. Anyone know what kind of bird builds a nest like this? The bird is no bigger that your fist and is brownish and has a BEAUTIFUL song.
Sunday, May 31: Dear Diary, Just how many tournaments can one team win? Tyler's team took 1st again in this weekend in the Rh.eems Wooden Bat Tournament.
*********************************************************Okay so hubby & I have struggled for a while now with "how do we keep up with our exercising". So I got this brainy idea (hey - it happens) of exercising together & blogging ideas all in one!
For the next couple of weeks (or months), hubby and I will be taking a walk every day in our little town. I will be snapping pictures of where we went and what we saw and posting a little history about it . Pretty cool huh? You get to go on a field trip to Lit.itz, PA.
My hopes are that this will keep me from getting board with exercising and also encourage us to walk a little further everyday! So let's get started with or field trip, shall we?
Sunday, Day 151: We started our "new exercising plan". We rose early and walked to a small little coffee shop along main street. Our prize for starting; a fresh brewed cup of coffee and some 1 on1 time to have uninterrupted talk time! It was a lot of fun sipping coffee, people watching and chatting. This is one happen' place for the locals.
Monday, Day 152: Phil was in Phi.ladelphia today playing golf, so he felt he would be doing enough walking for one day and choose not to join me. But I laced up my sneakers and headed to the east end of town past this little building.
This building is the J.ulius St.urgis Pre.tzel Bake.ry. Founded in 1861 by Ju.lius St.urgis, this historic location is maintained today by the St.urgis family. Visitors are welcome to tour the facility and learn the history of pretzel making in America – and find pretzels baked with the same old-fashioned techniques pioneered by Juli.us Sturg.is himself. They hand-twist and bake fresh, hot sourdough soft pretzels every day. But not for me :-D

thanks for the local pictures,i get to go on a field trip! yay! my whole family was ooohing and ahhing the coffee and pretzel shop. i like that idea a whole lot of taking pictures as you walk. Mari does that too on her 365 project and i have enjoyed seeing Michigan as well. i will be looking forward to seeing more from you ;)
Oh I do remember this Pretzel ! Took a picture of it some months ago to show it to our alsacian family ;-)

I like the tour! The pretzel is neat. I also like that bird nest but have no idea what type it is!
