SO baseball season is STILL hanging around here.
Ty’s team (Wa.rwick Ph.illies) have made it to the final championship game!
Here’s what the morning newspaper had to say about our game last night:
“Who says lightning doesn't strike twice?
Lightning, the two-out, baseball variety, struck three times Monday night at Mo.unt J.oy's Kunk.le Field as the Wa.rwick Philli.es used three two-out, nobody-on rallies to stave off defeat, then rallied one final time in extra innings to defeat Man.heim Towns.hip Black 10-7 in the second game of a Ne.w E.ra Tou.rnament semifinal doubleheader.
Tyler Shirk's single up the middle capped a 3-run, seventh-inning rally and the Philli.es advanced to tonight's championship game, where they will meet Manh.eim V.FW.
Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Kunk.le Field.
Shirk's hit was the final blow in an uprising that, oddly enough, began with one out when Evan Havemann reached on a high chop infield single that MT pitcher Tyler Russell could not field in time.
Luke Mariano beat out a sacrifice bunt attempt up the third base line and Havemann scored on Trevor Fitzpatrick's RBI groundout. After his single, Shirk eventually scored on a wild pitch and relief pitcher Cole Adams set Township down in the bottom of the seventh to close out the night.
So weather we win or lose tonight’s game will bring the spring season of Midget-Midget baseball season to an end.

The pictures below are from Friday nights game. There was a guy there that takes perfessional photos on the side and offered to take some of Ty. We were so happy with the quality and shots he got we ordered the CD that contains almost 34 pictures. And the best part - they won't have WO*LFEIMAG*ES printed on them. You can bet money that no matter what the lighting is tonigh - this momma is gona have some pictures to share tomorrow!!!
