Okay . . . okay. . .
I told you that I'd keep doing this blog thing going 'cause it was fun, but time has been flyin' by! Thanks mom for reminding me that I haven't posted anything since we have returned from Europe - not to mention this is the BIGGEST highlight of her work week so I best not let her down!
Well let's see . . . since we arrived home we have 2 new additions to share with you. NO NO - not any additions that God creates in nine months- we are not going there! However these additions have been just as fun and exciting for our family. After being home almost 50 minutes from our 3 week vacation two Mondays ago, the Bohlen's (friends of ours from church) brought their cat Oreo to "vacation"with us while they are away for 3 weeks. After 2 days
of not visualy seeing the cat, there was evidence that he was here - the litter was used, we decided to bring in the search party. We suspected he was downstairs as the door was left open so that is were our search started and ended! Sure enough, Oreo was hidding IN our new reclining sectional. Yes I said IN. Phil discovered Oreo when he pulled the sectional away from the wall to vaccumn and the chair hissed at him. So we perswaded, or as Phil would describe - chased with the vaccumn Oreo out of our sectional. Long story short - the cat is fine and we now have a new playmate who has been present ever since!

Ketsia Goldschmidt, a 16 year old student from France - - well Sierentz to be exact, will be with us for 3 weeks (July 24 - August 19). We had the pleasure of staying and doing some sightseeing with Ketsia and her family for 24 hours and had a wonderful time. Now it's our turn to host and sight seeing American things with her. Friday she went with me to my Dream Dinner session and helped prepare my freezer meals, then we went to the grocery store. It's funny really, she was surprised how cheap our 
food is. Then Saturday we put her to work as she helped us clean our patio furniture and scrubbed the deck. Sunday was an experience - church. The only part she understood was the children's story; because the lady spoke slowly and had pictures. And during Sunday school we had a snack. She thought this was strange because they never have food during church. Wow -welcome to America. FOOD is what we do! Then we went out to eat a Macaroni Grill where she noticed that our water glasses are LARGE as well as the plates of food! It's been a real eye opener as we are learning together and trying to communicate. http://www.wordreference.com/ has been a lifesaver!!!
