Friday, August 12th: Our day began at "The Pantry" a cute little restaurant that had super yummy food! Then be began our trek up Pi.kes Pe.ak (by car not hiking!) It was a very pleasant day on top, not very windy and very clear.
Thursday, August 11: We headed back to Ga.rden of the G.ods to get a clearer view of the beauty. Below is the rock formation they call "Kissing Camels". Can you see them?
Wednesday, August 10: We took a 1 hr horseback tour through Gard.en of the Go.ds This was our 1st day in that we had cloudy, cool weather. Not bad for vacationing for 1.5 weeks. So our view of the rocks was not the best. But the event for today was differently the horse ride ~ at least for Nichole and I!
Nichole rode "Little Bit"
and Tyler was on "Reo". The photo doesn't look like it, but Tyler had fun despite being cold and having a "ugly" horse. Reo wouldn't follow any command given and gave Tyler a hard time the entire ride.
Then we headed to Colora.do Sprin.gs to visit F.ocus on the F.amily. We recorded our own story ~ sound effects included . . . .
then headed to "Witt's End" for a tasty pizza and ice cream of course!
To complete the day, we took a tour of C.ave of the W.inds. This was my favorite formation, The Oriental Garden.
