It's amazing what a GOOD night of sleep (in a bed, not an airplane seat) does for one's outlook on things!
This morning (or is it afternoon?) we are well rested and ready to hit the streets of London. Last evening Ed and Phyllis took us downtown. We took a double decker bus and sat on the second level in the front seats. Man are the streets narrow! It's quite a strange feeling - you have no idea which way you will be turning and it looks like the bus "eats" the cars that stop in front of it. Nichole thought that was cool!
We stood on London Bridge (nothing fancy - just a bridge) and had a view of the Tower Bridge (now that's a fancy bridge), then grabbed a bite to eat at an Italian restaurant along the Thames River. The weather didn't hold out for a walk to see Big Ben, so we dodged the rain drops and held on to our hats as we crossed the Wibbly Wobbly Bridge. Well the kids skated across while we walked quickly. We had our first underground tube ride back home, said our good nights and called it a day.
Today's plan: Big Bus Tour was planned but needed to change; it's drizzling outside :-( So we will be touring the British Museum - taking the underground tube ourselves. Send out the search dogs if we're not back by supper :-)
